Why Kippenhelden exists

Cigarette butts are everywhere.
On pavements, in parks, at bus stops or in nature.

They are small, seem harmless and are therefore often ignored. Yet they are among the most common forms of pollution and contain toxins that burden soils and waters.

Many people are bothered by this. And many already collect butts, alone or at events.

Kippenhelden makes this commitment visible.

Because the problem is big. But so is the number of people doing something about it.

Our vision

We want a world in which cigarette butts no longer end up carelessly in the environment.

A world in which taking responsibility is a matter of course, and in which throwing away butts is just as unacceptable as any other litter in nature.

Kippenhelden makes collecting cigarette butts easy and communal.

The platform gives individuals and teams the opportunity to share their actions, inspire others and achieve greater impact together.

Who is behind Kippenhelden?

What is a shared platform today originally began as a personal challenge.

I'm Christian and I set myself the goal of collecting 10,000 cigarette butts within one year.

To track my progress, I built a small website for it. But over time, more and more feedback and questions came in:

More and more people wanted to become part of the idea.
From this personal challenge, Kippenhelden gradually emerged.

Today it has become a platform where everyone can take part, whether alone or in a team.

What drives me: many people are bothered by butts in the environment, but often it stays at being annoyed. Kippenhelden is meant to show that even small actions can make a difference, and that commitment can inspire other people to become active themselves.

Because change often begins in the small.
